McCusker
& Associates - December 2009 Tax Update
Happy
Holidays!
If
you haven’t had time to work on your holiday gift list
just yet, you can look to Congress for inspiration. They’ve
been busy as elves on Christmas Eve, compiling a gift list
that they hope will surely brighten up your holiday season.
Healthcare reform, financial bailouts, cash for clunkers,
home buyers’ credits -- these are but a few of the goodies
they have in store for you.
But,
I’m just not sure they have this gift thing quite figured
out. You see, I think their plan is that you will
have to pay for these gifts. I’m sure their failure
to enunciate this point is just an oversight by our well intentioned
friends down in Washington. Fortunately we won’t have
to pay just yet, as there’s been little in the way of
tax changes this year. So while we wait for the soon-to-arrive
bill, here are some tax facts for years 2009 and 2010. Enjoy
the reprieve.
